Penis Pierced

One thing men love to maintain its safety more than anything; is their penis. Yes. A man would do anything to protect his penis when threatened.

The thought of having the penis poked, hit or tampered with in a none sexual way would make any man cringe.

It is however surprising to find that some men not only comfortably get “a piercing” but “multiple piercings” on their sexual organ.

Types of penis piercings

  1. The introduction of penis piercing has given rise to varieties of piercing, with the most
prominent being the “Prince Albert Piercing” (this is done towards the end of the penis).
  2. The Frenulum piercing is also popularly requested by men who don’t mind the procedure on the strand of tissue between the shaft and the head of their penis.
  3. Most daring men who don’t mind a little extra piercing on their penis would go for the “Jacob’s Ladder” this particular kind of piercing involves men have underneath the shaft of their penis pierced in a ladder-like appearance.
Jacob’s ladder piercing is common among body modification enthusiasts. It is a collection of frenum piercings with each frenum being a rung of the ladder.

The risks involved in getting a penis piercing should be of the uttermost importance as one might get infections and possible pain during copulation.

Jamin Brahmbhatt, MD, a urologist at Orlando Health and Assistant Professor at UCF College of Medicine, explains “When it comes to piercings, tattoos or any form of body manipulation it is a personal choice and decision.

From a medical standpoint, when taking into account piercings on your penis, you have to make sure it’s not putting you or your partner at risk,”

Things to note when getting a penis piercing

  1. A person’s anatomy has no impact on how the piercing is done. However, it is best to consider the jewellery type, length and number of frenum piecing used. It would require longer jewellery for a thicker penis, and the length of the penis would determine how many rungs on a ladder. Some men can only manage two or three, while others can accommodate up to 10 or even more.
  2. How long it takes to heal varies from one man to the other, but its take on an average of four to six weeks to recover entirely.
There would be initial swelling, so it is advised to avoid sex for a few months to prevent pain on you and possible infection. It is also advisable to start slow if you decide to get back on the wagon and stop any further of penetration if you sense any form of discomfort.
  3. A threshold for pain varies as the type of penis piercing a man gets determines the number of jewellery involved. It is essential to note that pain is subjective.
Some men find pain pleasurable, especially men who are into kinky or BDSM sex.
  4. Penis piercing has been reported to increase sensitivity to the underside of the shaft. Some partners compare the sensation they get to a “dotted condom” but only better.
  5. It is highly essential to discuss whatever decision you want to make with your partner to get the required support. Consulting with your doctor also matters as professional opinions are necessary.
