Lesbian couples and trans guys have always wanted a more realistic sex experience with their partner especially have they have to use sex toys.
More important is how much they need to satisfy the want for reproduction without having to go through IVF or adoption.

How did the ejaculating dildo come about?
A lesbian couple with the desire to reproduce, some years of medical experience and knowledge, and a clone-a-willy kit was all it took to start this history-making journey. Stephanie Berman is the founder of Berman Innovations and the inventor of the POP dildo.
She has years of medical experience as she co-owns a women’s reproductive health clinic with her mother. Stephanie told MEL during a talk after she won an AVN award for best pleasure product manufacturer “I’ve been working with couples in the medical sense for a really long time.”
Berman had been in the business of assisting couples with artificial insemination and the process of the successful in-vitro fertilisation for some years.
But when the time came for her and her wife to take on parenting, there was no budget for an IVF “It gave me this very keen insight on how the process goes,” she said. Adding that “We knew for us as a couple that we didn’t want to go to a doctor.”
So they decided to do some home-made magic “We sort of just took what we had — turkey basters and syringes — and tried to start the process, but we were left feeling very unfulfilled.”
Stephanie thought it wise to explore her creative side by combining fun and purpose thus she teamed up with her room mate’s boyfriend, and with the help of a clone-a-willy kit, she invented a dildo that would ejaculate when you command it to.
When she was done with her invention, Berman and her wife tried it, and it turned out to be so much fun and useful for reproduction. The couple had two kids with it, and Berman decided to share it with the rest of the world in 2012. She called it the semenette.
Stephanie Berman said “When it comes to ejaculating dildos, there’s definitely been others on the market before me. However, in the evolution of sex toys, the materials used to make sex toys were terrible” as at when her product was invented.
When her product hit the market, it was the safest and only ejaculating dildo with replaceable tubing, and it also had a high quality.
Berman shares with Mel that “I was at a barbecue over the summer, and there were six kids there that were all conceived with my product. That was surreal… There’s a lot of kids that are being made! These families’ dreams are being realised!”
She appreciated that moment as it opened her understanding and appreciation for her nickname, “SpermIn Berman”.
Stephanie said “It’s been with me for many, many years. My business card is in the shape of a sperm… It’s been one of the best business decisions I’ve ever made.” Wow! That’s some serious love for cum there.
However, Berman underestimated the power of her invention. Little did she know that the semenette would play other roles asides being a fun toy in a lesbian couple’s bedroom or a transgender guy’s room.
As she got into business with her products, Berman began to discover the gaps that the semenette was uniquely able to bridge. According to Stephanie Berman, “People were saying, ‘Wow, there’s a huge need for something like this.’
e-mails on a daily basis from serodiscordant couples — mixed-status couples where one partner is HIV positive, and the other is not. People were telling me, ‘This is a great option for us to use!’ It was totally mind-blowing to me, all these different utilizations for an ejaculating dildo!”
The demand for Berman’s invention began to snowball, and she figured it was time for her to mass produce, so she went into partnership with a German manufacturing company called Fun-Factory. Together they reinvented and packaged the product in such a way that it was more appealing to the pangender society.
Oh! They had to change the name as well. It was called the POP dildo instead of the semenette in the year 2015. Berman said “I did catch some flak for the name ‘Semenette, People were saying that the ‘-ette’ was a bit feminine, and they didn’t really love the name.
So ‘POP’ was something that was much more universal. We really planted the seed, so to speak, in the LGBT market for same-sex couples, and then I really wanted to expand.”
The POP dildo received massive positive acceptance from different kinds of people and Berman was amazed. She reported that after the award she was given for the product, she noticed that order increased and even men who initially were not initially a part of her target customers, began to place orders.
Meaning that almost anybody could find a use for the POP dildo which is something to be excited about. “I’ve already seen a spike in interest and in orders, and… I’ve noticed a lot more men ordering.” Steph says.
The Trans community did not hesitate to indicate their interest as well. To trans guys, the product was a medium for them to establish a connection with their bodies in a more real way during sexual intercourse.
Buck Angel who is arguably one of the most famous trans male icon has been very supportive of the product and shared with MEL that, “When Stephanie Berman approached me with her product the POP dildo… I was very interested and thought it was a brilliant idea. Many people just want to experience that ‘cum shot,’ and that includes me.”
Berman shares her opinion on the support she has gotten from Angel in an interview; she said “In my first conversation with him, he was saying, ‘Steph, this product is so important.
It allows female-to-male folks not only to have sex, but it gives them that really finish that so many people are looking for.’
It’s one thing to be able to have sex and re-create that experience, but to feel like you’re finishing really… there’s a realistic connection that you’re making to your body with your partner… I think that’s something that’s super unique for the [trans] community that’s been embraced a lot.”
However, the dildo is not designed to be worn under clothing so that might appear as a downside for some people, but we suspect that Berman is working on something more flexible, but she isn’t sharing that secret at the moment.
